Day 3- No Success

Alright, I'm being truthful. Yesterday, I was not able to get out and walk/run like I aimed for. So I have failed my 7 day mission. Having a guest over can really throw a kink in the routine. From here on out, if I know I will have guest, I will plan to do my run in the early morning before N head's out for work.
I was definitely disappointed that I wasn't able to get out yesterday. Minor set back BUT I am definitely going to attack today!!

Goals for today:
Walk/Run 45min-1hr
Running Goal: 15 min!
Water: 6 glasses or 48oz

Day 2- SUCCESS.

Completed Day 2.
Walk & Run for 33 minutes today (Charlotte tired out..) I did run 13 more minutes today.
AND I drank all my water and skipped dessert.

Today felt different to me. I was ready to go. I was amped and I wanted to run more than I did.
I need to try to do Charlotte's walk separate from mine until I get more comfortable.

Go Leigh! Looking forward to tomorrow's run already. I'm setting a new goal of 15 minutes.
Let's see what I can do :)

Day 1- DONE.

Charlotte & I hit the road tonight and we did it.
I ran for about 13 minutes which is actually 3 more mins that I originally planned.
It is a small step beginner step but I'm proud that I did it.

I'm already looking forward to getting out there tomorrow. :)

Day 1

Today is the 1st day of my journey. Start small and aim big right?

My goal for this week is to walk/run for 45 minutes.
Running goal is 10 mins within those 45 minutes.
My second goal is do to this EVERY SINGLE DAY.
My 3rd goal for is to drink 4 glasses of water. (I will add more the easier it gets.)

Well.. wish me luck.

I Wanna Get Better

Bleachers: I Wanna Get Better
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5osPtE7kXI

Think about it. this song is for everyone. Who doesn't want to be a better version of themselves?

Getting healthier and learning to love myself will help me be a better Leigh.

Do you want to get better? :)

Good Fortune

Inspiration:

Today, I was lucky enough to eat with my besties at Pei Wei. During our day together, we chatted about why I am so interested in starting running and how I plan to start. Michelle grabbed a fortune cookie and said that this fortune was just for me.

It might sound cheesy, but I feel like this is God's way of giving me the inspiration I needed to begin this journey. It is definitely the right time in my life to start this adventure and I couldn't be more excited!

Hi!

Run Forest Run! is what I think of when I think about running. It might sound silly, but I do. I think that Forest Gump had a great outlook on setting your mind to doing something and doing it. He decided one day that he would run across the U.S. and he did just that. There is something to be admired about anyone who can set their mind to a goal and accomplish it.

That's why I'm here blogging about my new adventure becoming a plus-sized runner.

For those who don't know me, Hi. I'm Leigh. I'm a bonafide FAT girl. It is not a secret and not like I can hide this about myself. It simply is what it is. I'm here to work on changing this particular description.

Here's some facts that you should know about me.
First, I really LOVE food & drinks. I love to eat. I love soda. I mean I LOVE SODA. Almost more than food. I'm a big salt eater and to add to the list, I'm a complete closet eater. I know, I sound like a winner don't I? I grew up with food being a comfort and entertainment. Food has and will always be a big part of my life. (I don't mean to live, I mean for fun)

Secondly, I have no intention of giving up any of the food or drinks I like to enjoy. I think it is unrealistic because even the strictest dieters, cheat. I feel like if I want to enjoy a dessert after dinner, then go for it. If I want to have some sweet tea with my dinner, go for it. Some people would say I'm nuts to think I'll ever lose weight and keep eating what I'd like. I disagree.

Finally, I do have ever intention on learning about portion control, counting calories, drinking daily recommended amount of water, and adding RUNNING to the equation. I hope to change my perspective on closet eating and how to break this awful habit.

I'm sure by now you are thinking I'm a crazy lady. She's never going to lose weight thinking like that. I'm here today to tell you that you are dead wrong. Just wait & see. :)
