Run Forest Run! is what I think of when I think about running. It might sound silly, but I do. I think that Forest Gump had a great outlook on setting your mind to doing something and doing it. He decided one day that he would run across the U.S. and he did just that. There is something to be admired about anyone who can set their mind to a goal and accomplish it.
That's why I'm here blogging about my new adventure becoming a plus-sized runner.
For those who don't know me, Hi. I'm Leigh. I'm a bonafide FAT girl. It is not a secret and not like I can hide this about myself. It simply is what it is. I'm here to work on changing this particular description.
Here's some facts that you should know about me.
First, I really
LOVE food & drinks. I love to eat. I love soda. I mean I LOVE SODA. Almost more than food. I'm a big salt eater and to add to the list, I'm a complete closet eater. I know, I sound like a winner don't I? I grew up with food being a comfort and entertainment. Food has and will always be a big part of my life. (I don't mean to live, I mean for fun)
Secondly, I have no intention of giving up any of the food or drinks I like to enjoy. I think it is unrealistic because even the strictest dieters, cheat. I feel like if I want to enjoy a dessert after dinner, then go for it. If I want to have some sweet tea with my dinner, go for it. Some people would say I'm nuts to think I'll ever lose weight and keep eating what I'd like. I disagree.
Finally, I do have ever intention on learning about portion control, counting calories, drinking daily recommended amount of water, and adding RUNNING to the equation. I hope to change my perspective on closet eating and how to break this awful habit.
I'm sure by now you are thinking I'm a crazy lady. She's never going to lose weight thinking like that. I'm here today to tell you that you are dead wrong. Just wait & see. :)
